At the CLOOS Application Technology Competence Centre, we support our customers from the initial concept to series production. With decades of experience and cutting-edge equipment, we develop and optimise welding processes that meet real-world production demands.
In a recent project, we applied our Laser Weld process to a valve housing made of chrome-nickel. Using a 4.5 kW laser with a 1.1 mm focus diameter, we achieved a welding speed of 300 cm/min. The weld had to ensure full penetration and absolute leak-tightness, capable of withstanding high internal pressure from both liquids and gases.
