SCHWEISSEN 2024 trade fair

CLOOS combines automation, robotics and welding

HAIGER/Wels, February 2024 - Robust manual welding technology, collaborative robotics, scalable automation solutions and innovative data management - CLOOS offers a unique combination of automation, robotics and welding for a production advantage for industry and trade all over the world. At SCHWEISSEN from 23 to 26 April in Wels, visitors were able to experience innovative technologies from entry-level to premium and from cobots to complex robot systems live at the CLOOS Austria stand 19-0322.

Easy entry into automation
Partial automation solutions such as cobots are now also established in the welding sector and offer an easy entry into automation. At the trade fair, CLOOS presented the QINEO ArcBoT, where the employee, cobot and welding power source complement each other perfectly. With the QINEO ArcBoT Welding System, users can weld even small batch sizes economically and with consistently high quality. In addition to reducing the workload on employees - especially for monotonous, repetitive tasks - companies benefit from excellent welding results thanks to the reproducible quality. The new extended functions, such as seam searching, further increase the efficiency of cobot welding. The QINEO ArcBoT at SCHWEISSEN was equipped with a torch-integrated welding fume extraction system that provides safe and effective extraction of welding fumes directly at the source.
CLOOS also presented the QIROX QRC-350-EO robot at the SCHWEISSEN trade fair. With its specially designed eccentric axis 7 for overhead applications, the robot can be optimally integrated into complex system concepts. The space required for the robot system is minimised.

The QIROX system comprises robot technology, positioner, safety technology, software, sensors and the interface to the process technology. The CLOOS product spectrum ranges from simple, compact standard systems to complex, interlinked systems with independent component identification and automatic loading and unloading processes. The modular design provides users with scalable solutions that are optimised for different applications and individual production requirements - whether small, delicate workpieces or large, complex components.

Manual welding from entry-level to premium
CLOOS also presented the constantly growing product range of QINEO welding power sources from entry-level to premium for manual welding. The QINEO StarT makes it easy to get started in the world of modern MIG welding technology. Thanks to the optimum price-performance ratio, users can weld any workpiece at economical conditions. The high-tech QINEO NexT MIG welding power source impresses with its excellent arc characteristics for the highest welding quality. The modular design enables a wide range of applications, from basic welding units for manual welding to multi-process welding units for automated robot welding. The QINEO QuesT also complements the portfolio for high-end TIG applications. This welding power source was specially developed for TIG welding processes and is particularly suitable for the most demanding welding joints and the highest quality requirements. The QINEO welding power sources are characterised in particular by digital connectivity, maximum energy efficiency and the ability to integrate new welding processes.

Digitalisation solutions for the production of the future
The software solutions from CLOOS further enhance the performance of welding machines and robot systems. With the C-Gate IoT Platform, users can access information from their welding production in real time. Centralised data collection and processing allows users to monitor their production processes down to the smallest detail and control them proactively. C-Gate consists of several modules that users can activate depending on their individual digitalisation strategy - from the manual welding power source to the fully automated production line.
