On 4 August 2025, 13 young people began a new chapter in their lives: they started their training at Carl Cloos Schweißtechnik GmbH in Haiger. During a varied induction week, the new trainees got to know each other and gained their first insights into the company. In addition to informative programme items, joint activities such as raft building and a hike were also on the agenda - with the aim of strengthening team spirit right from the start.
"Training is very important at CLOOS. We offer our trainees sound and practical training with a wide range of development opportunities," explains Dunja Fiedler, Training Manager for the commercial area. "We attach great importance to personal support and good teamwork."
Andreas Schmelzer, Training Manager for the industrial-technical area, also emphasises: "Right from the start, our trainees work in a highly exciting environment with future-oriented topics such as automation and robot technology. The modern training workshop and our own training rooms offer ideal conditions for this."
CLOOS provides training in various technical and commercial professions - including industrial mechanics, electronics technicians for industrial engineering, mechatronics technicians, technical product designers and industrial clerks. In addition to traditional apprenticeships, the company also offers programmes such as "Apprenticeship Plus", which allows trainees to obtain a technical college entrance qualification alongside their apprenticeship, and "Study Plus", which offers a dual study programme.
Apprentices benefit from intensive support from the training management and the respective departments. The high quality of the training is also reflected in the fact that more than 50 per cent of today's CLOOS employees started their careers at the company.
