Haiger, August 2026 - For 13 young professionals, a new chapter in their lives is beginning at CLOOS: As they begin their apprenticeships at the company’s headquarters in Haiger, they are laying the foundation for their professional futures. On their first day of training, the new apprentices were warmly welcomed by the Human Resources and Training departments as well as the works council and were given their first insights into the company.
The new apprentices are beginning their careers in a variety of technical and commercial professions. This year, three Electronics Technicians for Industrial Engineering, five Mechatronics Technicians, two Industrial Mechanics, one Technical Product Designer, and two Industrial Clerks are starting their apprenticeship programs at the Haiger site.
To help the new apprentices get acquainted with the company and each other, CLOOS organizes an orientation week every year featuring a diverse program. In addition to a site tour, receiving their workwear, and setting up their workstations and equipment, the newcomers had the opportunity to demonstrate their teamwork skills through various challenges, including archery, fire building, and creative group activities. The apprentices also received important information about their rights and responsibilities, met the Works Council, and took part in a group hike along the “Trail to the End of the World,” followed by a shared meal.
Andreas Schmelzer, Training Manager for the Industrial and Technical Division, explains: “Our apprentices are the skilled professionals of tomorrow. Through hands-on training, modern technologies, and a strong team environment, we provide the best possible conditions for a successful start to their careers. We are delighted to welcome another group of motivated young talents to CLOOS this year.”
Training future skilled workers is a top priority at CLOOS. The company offers apprenticeship opportunities in a range of commercial and technical professions, including Industrial Business Administration and Mechatronics. In addition to traditional apprenticeships, CLOOS also offers programs such as “Lehre Plus" which allows participants to earn their university entrance qualification for applied sciences while completing their apprenticeship. “Studium Plus” combines hands-on training with a dual degree program, thereby creating ideal conditions for entering the workforce.
