The source of our expertise
Our competence centre brings together decades of expertise in welding technology, automation solutions and materials science. It serves not only as a source of ideas for new and further developments and as a research and training centre, but above all as a hub for consulting and testing opportunities.
Over 20 experienced specialists develop solutions that are customised to your specific production requirements. In doing so, we take into account relevant variables such as the output of the system or desired component properties and check the technical feasibility.
Our welding technology test track
From complex and large to extremely small and thin components - with a total of 12 robot systems including peripheral equipment, 2 cobots and more than 20 welding power sources for manual welding, we provide you with reliable answers to your manufacturing questions. Whether it's about sensor technology, welding methods and processes or programming issues, we will be happy to help you.
Expertise thrives on development
The experts at the CLOOS competence centre are constantly working on the optimisation and further development of existing processes, technologies and characteristic curves. We regularly support research projects on all aspects of welding, both from our partners and from renowned research institutes.
Possible component dimensions:
- Up to 6 metres in length
- Up to 4 tonnes maximum weight
- Material thicknesses from less than one millimetre to several decimetres
- With all common arc processes (TIG, MIG/MAG)
- With laser or laser-hybrid welding processes
- With cutting or grinding processes

Specialised training courses
- With around three decades of experience in training our customers, we ensure that you know everything you need to know to achieve the best possible results in your individual welding applications. To this end, we offer courses that cover all important CLOOS topics, from robot technology, software and welding processes to sensor technology and programming. We also organise special training courses with customer-specific content.
