2-station robot system at Glüpker

Glüpker Blechtechnologie uses a 2-station robot system from CLOOS to weld components for commercial vehicles. The two QIROX welding robots are mounted overhead on a C-shaped stand. Both robots are equipped with a seventh axis. The long reach simplifies and speeds up the welding of complex workpieces. The system also includes a double-station workpiece positioner with vertical changeover and vertical rotation with counter bearing. The workpiece is rotated around a horizontal rotary axis into the optimum machining position. The counter bearing also stabilises long workpieces during the welding process. The station is changed by a vertical turning movement. The 2-station principle makes it easy to insert the components in one station while the robot is welding in the other station.
