VariWeld reduces reworking to a minimum at Matyssek

The system consists of two stations and a 7-axis QRC-E 350 robot. The robot is mounted on a floor track and can move flexibly back and forth between the two stations. Thanks to its long reach, it can be easily manoeuvred around corners or into niches. The rotating and swivelling positioner always moves the complex workpiece into an optimum position for welding. The large component - here a cover plate - is welded using the VariWeld process. With Vari Weld, an extremely low-spatter pulsed arc is generated, which minimises time-consuming reworking. Due to the comparatively low temperature, the base material remains metallurgically unaffected and the corrosion protection of the surface is retained.
