Arc sensor
The function of the arc sensor is based on measurements of the welding current. The measurement and correction routines take place during welding and directly compensate for any tolerances that occur. The sensor system does not require any interfering attachments that affect the accessibility of the welding torch.
The welding torch performs an oscillating movement during welding and measures the welding current at certain points. The measurement results are used to determine the position of the welding torch over the seam. The calculated correction values are transmitted to the robot's path control and the position is corrected directly. The measuring cycle is repeated over the entire welding section and immediately compensates for changes such as heat distortion. The tolerance values determined can be saved and used for welding the subsequent cover layers.
Unique selling points:
Recognising and compensating for component tolerances before welding:
Ensuring weld seam qualityNo additional attachments:
Accessibility of the welding torch is maintainedProgramming in the robot sequence programme:
Programming personnel do not need any additional knowledgeMeasuring cycle during welding:
Use of the sensor has no influence on the programme runtimeSaving the correction values:
Use with multi-layer technology
