Stylus as sensor
Stylus as sensor
Tactile sensor QR-SN-TS-P-F
The tactile sensor uses a stylus to determine a possible tolerance between the programmed and actual position of the weld seam. This is mounted in the area of the processing tool attached to the robot flange. The robot guides the stylus along a search path programmed on the reference component. If the stylus touches the component, a measuring current flows and the robot stops its measuring run. The robot coordinates of the contact point on the programmed component are compared with the coordinates of the contact currently determined during the search run, which enables the current position of the component to be calculated. Three search paths in the spatial coordinates X, Y and Z relative to the component allow the robot movements to be precisely adapted to the actual position of the weld seams determined. The stylus enables measurements in component areas that are difficult to access and the determination of tolerances on seam shapes with little edge offset, for example on overlap seams.
Unique selling points:
- Recognising and compensating for component tolerances before welding:
Ensuring weld seam quality - Optimum accessibility:
Measurements in areas that are difficult to access and detection of tolerances on seam shapes with low edge offset - Programming in the robot sequence programme:
Programming personnel do not need any additional knowledge - Process-independent measuring method:
The values determined by the sensor system can be used for all welding processes.
